Housekeeping release. Nothing has changed in how vChat! works.
Earlier releases
Version 1.0.9
Fixed vChat! Pro switching itself back off. Pro now stays unlocked when you close and reopen the app, and a launch that cannot reach the App Store no longer reads as though nothing was bought.
Restore purchase works properly now, so Pro follows you to a new phone or a reinstall.
If you already bought Pro, it stays yours. Nothing to buy again, nothing to do.
Version 1.0.8
Messages now continue on the same line as the name that sent them, and wrap at the edge of the chat box instead of starting underneath.
Chat feels quicker in quiet channels: the first message after a pause now appears almost immediately rather than waiting for the next batch.
Highlight words. Messages containing words you choose are marked in chat, the same way a mention is. Settings > Chat.
Per-channel settings. Timestamps, badges, notices and each emote provider can now be set for one channel without changing them everywhere.
Search within a person's chat history from their profile, with Pro or as a moderator.
Global emotes from 7TV now load through vChat!, which is considerably faster than reaching them directly.
Emotes for recently opened channels are loaded at launch, so reopening one shows them straight away.
Pro can find text in the live chat, and hide bots, ! commands and emote-only spam.
Stream Studio is now chat-first: the preview starts hidden, live stats sit on one line, and stream controls share a single row.
Create a clip, start or cancel a raid, and edit your title or category from Studio.
Hype Train progress appears as a thin bar while a train is running.
Room modes can be turned on or off from the chips above the Studio composer.
Tap a name in Studio chat to time out, ban, delete or pin, the same as in a normal chat.
Support now lives in the app: guides, answers, and tickets, without opening a browser.
Studio settings can edit title, category, language and tags, mute OBS audio, and start a local recording.
A featured live stream can play under the home search bar. Turn it off in Settings > Home.
Pick colours for mentions, highlight words, first messages and notices, including a custom hex picker.
Highlight your own messages, returning chatters, specific people, and extra names that count as a mention.
Version 1.0.7
Watch past broadcasts, highlights and clips from any channel. Long-press a channel anywhere it appears and choose Past broadcasts.
Chat replay runs alongside past broadcasts, in step with the video and with the same emotes, badges and colours as live chat.
Muted words, blocking and reporting all apply to replayed chat too.
Settings that fail to save now leave a record in diagnostics instead of failing silently.
New launch screen, a refined V! icon, and a settings hub that is easier to search and navigate.
About now lists what vChat! can do, and settings search understands more names for the same option.
Home now uses one search bar to join a channel or find categories.
Deleting vChat! data keeps your log opt-out and reports other people filed about you.
Theme can follow the system, Pro shows the real store price, and chat can be drafted during slow mode.
Service notices now appear as a large centered overlay, and can be scheduled or kept on screen.
Version 1.0.6
Chat tabs now stay silent unless you are actually looking at them, including while you pick another channel.
Background audio, the lock screen player, and Picture in Picture now follow the tab you are watching instead of a hidden one.
Streams now remember that you unmuted them, instead of going quiet again every time you switch tabs.
Version 1.0.5
The stream player now hides itself automatically when a channel is offline.
Search settings, copy or share a message, and manage mentions individually.
Search results can be favorited, and emotes load from cache on cold start.
Chat history now merges reliably even in the busiest channels.
Fixed: whispers not scrolling to your reply, emotes and mentions inserting at the wrong spot, and several empty-state mistakes.
Version 1.0.4
Twitch sessions now refresh automatically while the app is open, so followed channels and moderator actions keep working without re-signing in.
Added the required iOS privacy manifest.
Expired Twitch sessions now explain what happened instead of signing out silently.
Removed an unused sign-in path.
