It’s using the Twitch player now

The built-in player gives up sometimes — ads, hiccups, Twitch being Twitch. That’s normal. It comes back.

Chat is empty

Pull to refresh, or leave and rejoin. History comes from public log sites, so some channels just don’t have any. People can also opt out of those lookups.

Emotes took a second

They usually load from cache. First join in a huge channel can lag a bit.
