Using Lark

You may use Lark for personal or commercial purposes at no cost, on as many Macs as you like, and pass along unmodified copies. There is no licence key, no trial, no paid tier, and no feature held back.

Supporting Lark

Paying anything is entirely voluntary. The app is free whether you pay or not, the download is identical either way, and nothing is withheld from anyone who doesn't. A payment buys no features, no support commitment, no warranty and no influence over what gets built.

Payments are handled by Ko-fi under its own terms. Lark never sees your payment details, and paying creates no account and no record inside the app.

No warranty

Lark is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Battery levels are estimates. They are derived from what devices choose to broadcast, are rounded coarsely by the hardware, and can be stale, wrong or missing entirely. Do not rely on Lark in any situation where an incorrect battery reading would matter.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the author is not liable for any damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, Lark — including a device running out of charge.

System interfaces

Some of what Lark does relies on parts of macOS that Apple does not document and does not promise to keep. A future version of macOS may change or remove them, and a feature may stop working with no fix available. This is a known limitation, not a defect.

Trademarks

Lark is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc. Apple, AirPods, Beats, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac and macOS are trademarks of Apple Inc. Other names are the property of their respective owners, and are used only to say which hardware Lark works with.

Changes

These terms ship with the app and are posted at vopori.dev/lark. Continuing to use Lark after an update means accepting the version that came with it.
